Motocaddy M3 GPS/DHC
The difference between a Motocaddy golf trolley with or without DHC is as follows:
DHC stands for Down Hill Control, which means that the trolley won't go faster downhill than you have set it to, whereas if there's no DHC, you'll need to hold the trolley downhill, or it will go faster. A DHC trolley also has a 100% parking brake, allowing you to park the trolley both uphill and downhill. However, a DHC trolley has a drawback in that if you stop it, it remains "stuck," and you cannot easily move it by hand a short distance. On a "flat" course, a DHC trolley can be more trouble than it's worth, but on hilly terrain, DHC is recommended.
The Motocaddy M3 GPS/DHC is the replacement for the Motocaddy M3 Pro DHC, which is no longer available. The biggest difference is that the M3 Pro DHC measures distances mechanically, while the Motocaddy M3 GPS/DHC does it via GPS reception, making it more precise and much easier to set up. Additionally, the GPS immediately identifies the correct golf course you are on. The distance between you and the green (pin position) is displayed prominently on the screen.
